Edward "Eddie" Stanton Pate Obituary - 2023 (2024)

Edward Stanton Pate, 34, of Fayetteville passed away at his residence on December 30, 2023.

Edward is survived by his son, Edward Arran Pate of Fayetteville; daughter, Isabella Ruby Pate of Fayetteville; parents, William Michael Pate and wife, Rochelle Pate of Fayetteville and Janet Barfield and husband, Jeff Barfield of Hope Mills; brothers, Jonathan Michael Pate of Fayetteville and Jeffrey Scott Barfield of Fayetteville; sisters, Shannon Ragland and husband, Joe Ragland of Hope Mills, Helena Victoria Spence and husband, John Spence of Myrtle Beach; aunt, Kim Tyler and husband, Jeff Tyler of Elizabethtown; aunt, Debra Baldwin of Myrtle Beach; uncle, Tommy Rice and wife, Donna Rice of Fayetteville; grandparents, Herman and Delphean Rice of Fayetteville; nieces, Savannah Pate, Haley Spence, Delilah Spence, and Leah Ragland; nephew, Jonathan Pate; and his cousins, Jeffrey Tyler, Summer Harris, Madison Rice, and Mason Rice.

Edward Stanton Pate (lovingly known as Eddie) cherished every moment he got to spend with his family. He loved going to his granny and papaw to visit every day, he loved his talks with Uncle Tom. Eddie loved and adored his granny and always enjoyed shopping, yard selling, or just doing anything with her; I used to call them Bonnie and Clyde. Eddie was natured just like his dad and looked just like his dad. He loved his daddy more than his dad will ever possibly know. The two had a contagious laugh and knew how to make money. His dad has his own business and Eddie had his stocks.

Eddie was so kindhearted and such a great person. He would feed the homeless people and cook for his neighbors. Eddie also adored his two dogs, Apollo and Snoopy. He loved to fish, shoot pool, and loved spending every second with his kids. Eddie was loved by so many and will be missed dearly.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home from 2 to 2:45 PM. A Funeral service will be held at 3 PM in the Chapel with Reverend Gary Leviner officiating. Burial to follow the service at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery.
